It was an absolute honor to be a part of Jen and Joe’s wedding—a celebration of love, unity, and new beginnings between these longtime friends of ours. They met in high school, but alas, 30+ years had passed before they found each other again. Being dear friends, we were thrilled to be asked to provide live music for their wedding ceremony and reception. This led to us assisting with the wedding planning, with Jeremy co-officiating the ceremony. It was a privilege to work closely with them to craft the perfect day, one that not only marked the union of two incredible people but also brought together their four children and lifelong friends.
From the very start, we were excited to help Jen and Joe find the ideal location to say their vows. After visiting several sites, they chose the breathtaking Kapalua Bay on Maui, a place that holds deep memories and significance. With the sun setting over Lana’i and the soft waves lapping at the shore, the setting was simply magical. It couldn’t have been more perfect.

The ceremony itself was intimate and beautiful, surrounded by the love of their closest family and friends. Jeremy sounded the “pu” (conch shell), signaling the start of the ceremony—an authentic and meaningful Hawaiian tradition that added to the island’s spirit. A soft serenade by Aimee set the hearts in the present as leis were exchanged and hearts were shared. A special tribute to Joe’s aunt Sharon was given, and tears were shed.
Following the ceremony, we traveled to a sweet condo with views of Lana’i to enjoy the reception! Surrounded by their families and friends, it was a joyful evening. Joe and Jen are so genuine and exude such gratitude through their eyes, smiles, words, and hearts. Hawaiian love songs filled the air as Jen and Joe shared bites of cake, followed by toasts to the couple! The reception flowed seamlessly with delicious food from Joey’s, cake, and more music. It was an unforgettable evening. From the first kiss to the last dance, everything was executed flawlessly, thanks to the dedication of all the vendors and their amazing teamwork.
This wedding was more than just a celebration; it was a union of hearts, blending families, and marking a new chapter for Jen and Joe. We feel incredibly fortunate to have been part of such a special day. Congratulations to the beautiful couple!
